Physics Animations
experience & motion design
MSU, 2010-11
The prompt: explain complex physics to everyday people. Solution: work closely with experts to learn about the science, then distill that information into entertaining, bite-size chunks.

Rare Isotope Rap
I was commissioned by the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory to create visuals for the Rare Isotope Rap, a goofy video made to inform people about the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB). The process involved working with physicists to simplify the science, brainstorm visuals and implement our ideas as 3D animations.

LHC Planetarium Show
I was invited to the Large Hadron Collider at CERN to synthesize complex information about particle physics into an entertaining, accessible planetarium show. This video displays the short show my team developed, considering the constraints and technology of our medium. Imagine the rounder elements being projected on the entire planetarium dome, and the “less round” elements being projected on smaller areas.
